paverpol jewellery with lorraine boucher
Date & Time: October 11th, 9am-4pm
Skill Level: Beginner
Material Fee: $25 payable to the instructor
Lorraine will walk students through the creation of different shaped pendants and medallions, and will explain the basics of Paverpol, which is a fluid used to make fabric rock hard. Students will learn about the versatility of this medium, and how you can manipulate it to look like silver, pewter, gold, brass or a metallic colour of choice. Lorraine will provide all the materials needed to create and embellish a few pieces of jewellery that you will be so excited to wear after class! This class will be held at the instructor's studio in Port Elgin.
intro to pen and ink, & watercolour with albert casson

This course is for any level, and will dive into the basic techniques of creating a piece in pen and ink, and watercolor. Students will learn to combine these mediums into beautiful pieces of artwork using techniques like; stippling, cross hatching, cable drawing, embellishment with watercolour, applying resists, and using different papers to create interesting effects. Students will also learn how to properly block their paper, so it will not buckle. Reference photos will be provided, and students will leave with all the skills required to create their own dynamic composition at home.
