Students will paint a kayaker in watercolours with Bev's step-by-step instructions. Her goal is to introduce new techniques or review old ones to create a finished painting that students will love!

  • Cancellations and Refunds

    • A cancellation fee (15% of the course fee) will be deducted for any class canceled by the student more than 14 days before the class starting date.
    • NO REFUND is given on classes the student cancels less than 14 days before the class begins.
    • If a course is canceled by us, registrants will be given two week’s notice.
    • Full refunds will be paid if the course is canceled by the school for any reason.
    • There will be no discounts, refunds, credits or transfers for classes not attended.

  • ImportantInformation about our Classes:

    • Full payment must be made at the time of registration. We cannot hold registrations without payment.
    • Southampton Arts is not liable for any injury or loss/damage to possessions.
    • Southampton Arts reserves the right to change a workshop’s location or replace an instructor with the same qualifications, for a class to run.
    • Smoking is NOT allowed inside or within 3 meters (10 feet) of the buildings.
    • Material Fees are not included in the course cost and are payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Material fees are listed with the class descriptions, and cover supplies provided for you by the
    instructor.
    • Material List means that you are required to bring your own supplies, based on the list provided.
    • The class location will be listed in the description. We hold a variety of classes at different locations throughout Saugeen Shores. Please read the class description carefully.

    Paper:

    140lb or 200lb Acid-free Watercolour Paper 17” x 14” taped to a board minimum

    Paints:

    Alizarin crimson, 

    Ultramarine blue, 

    Cerulean blue, 

    Gamboge Hue, 

    Burnt sienna, 

    Burnt umber, 

    Hooker's green (Winsor Newton Cotman pigments will be used in the demonstration)

    Brushes: 

    Flat brushes (2 in, 1in, ¼ in) Round brushes (12, 10, 8, 6,4) Rigger brush

    Misc:

     mechanical pencil, 

    kneaded eraser, 

    Xacto knife, 

    clear or light brown packing tape, 

    masking fluid, 

    blow dryer, (we have minimal voltage so sharing may be needed)

    toothpick, 

    water dish & bottle, 

    paper towels, 

    table salt, 

    masking tape, 

    plastic spoon, 

    4 small dishes
