Experimental Flowers with Anita Wood
This course is no longer available. Please check back in 2020 to see if it will be offered again.
Students will create an abstract watercolour painting using experimental materials like masking fluid, salt, wax paper, gauze, and rubbing alcohol. Students will learn how to use negative painting to create an abstract image of a flower, and will be given lessons on how to create a strong composition, how to keep the lightest value as the white of the paper, and how to add in detail once all the additives have been removed. Students will leave this class with a painting to show off to friends.
