Drawing Geometric Designs with Erin Fitzgibbon
Date & Time: July 15-16th, 9am-4pm
Skill Level: Beginner
Material Fee: $20 payable to the instructor
Over this two day course, students will learn the origins of geometric design, the influence of culture on this art form, and the mathematics needed to create a basic design from scratch. Using a grid, ruler, and compass, Erin will walk students through how to create their very own tessellated pattern, or how to mimic a design from history. Students will then learn how to add colour to their designs, bringing their beautiful patterns to life. The repetitive motions of this art form is known to be therapeutic for stress and anxiety, so come unwind, and learn about the beauty of geometry!
