Paper Clay for Kids with Maureen McLeod
Date & Time: July 8-12th, 9am-12pm
Age Range: 8-12
This course uses an ancient form of clay that has been blended with paper fibres, making it easy to use and quick to dry without a kiln! On the first day of class, children will learn more about this material and its past uses. Throughout the week they will be introduced to the techniques of rolling, coiling, pinching, and making slabs, along with the use of armatures. Students will learn the finishing process of drying and sealing their artwork, while discovering their spontaneous inner artist with this new material. This class will be held at the Boat House.
