Saugeen Shores is home to the renowned Southampton Art School which was established in 1957 by artist, Bert Henderson. Since the Art School opened, people of all ages and ambitions have arrived to learn…watercolours, oil, acrylics, printmaking, landscapes, still life, fabric art, sculpture, stained glass, and collage – for a day, a weekend, a week, in the school or on location, adult or children’s classes, whatever suited their time and ambitions. Our instructors are among the best artists with a gift for passing on their knowledge, expertise and joy in their art to beginners, professionals and every stage in between.

Bryce Jones is a commercial artist working in Television. A Graduate from Sheridan College BAA Animation, he enjoys splitting his time between California, BC and Toronto. During college he began the Pulptoons project (elevating craft to commercial projects) and has been a peer-mentor ever since. Bryce is classically trained but uses a cartoon approach to bring out personality, beauty and appeal in his drawings.
Born and raised in Bruce County, Camelia has a Fine Arts degree from McMaster. After teaching art across Ontario, she’s back in Bruce County, blending real estate with a passion for art. In her free time, she designs for her stationery business, Establishing Theaceae.
Chelsea Campbell has been teaching youth art for over a decade, instructing at the Elora Centre for the Arts and for Southampton Art School. She has certificates in art education and contemporary art era from The Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), and is studying at Algonquin College.
Hannah Campbell is a Canadian artist and owner of Bohemian Sunflower, based out of South Grey County. A third-generation artist, Hannah draws inspiration from the whimsical and creative environment in which she was raised to create her one of kind upcycled, colourful pieces.

Janice has been an art teacher and artist for more than 20 years’ experience she loves to teach and see kids projects come to life giving them the chances to share their love of art and broaden their talents in to animation.
Jennifer attended the Humber College School of Comedy Writing and Performance with the agenda to teach her craft to others. She is the director of Laugh Lessons where she teaches professional development to schools and businesses.
Jennifer Hayden currently teaches full day kindergarten in Toronto. She is an animal and nature lover with a major green thumb. Jennifer is a nurturing teacher who creates a positive learning environment for students of all ages.

John is renowned for his carving artistry in several forms – wood, bark, soapstone and wire sculpture. He has competed with his wood carvings for many years at both the local and international level. He is passionate about nature and its beauty in all his work.
Karen Brioux has been teaching art for over 35 years to all ages. She studied fine arts at Sheridan College. She lives in Oakville, Ontario. She loves sharing her love of art.
Kim Vanderburgt is a versatile artist in mixed media. She completed 2 years in the Illustration Program at Sheridan College and has 18 years experience leading art workshops. She believes that learning is easiest through exploration and play.
When Laila Huber was introduced to leather crafting, she immediately developed a deep passion for it. Laila now shares their expertise with others. She guides individuals in creating their own unique pieces of functional art, helping them express their creativity through this timeless craft.
Niv Menon-Saberi is a local creative baking instructor and home bakery owner. She appeared on Season 7 of the Great Canadian Baking Show in 2024 and wants to share her love of the culinary arts with her community!
