ARTBIKE

SOUTHAMPTON ARTS' COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROJECT  RETURNS FOR 2024!

SA is excited to introduce Ellie Lehman  as the  2024 ARTBIKE Jockey and Creative Content Coordinator.

Ellie, a Bachelor of Arts and Science student at University of Guelph, has considerable experience in theater and is an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter. You will find Ellie with the ARTBike, engaging the community with exciting, often eco-friendly crafts and art projects. They will be developing the itinerary and forging collaborations with other community partners, such as the Bruce County Museum and MacGregor Point Provincial Park.

The ARTBike’s packed schedule will include visits to the Marine Heritage Market, by the Boathouse on Fridays, the Thursday evening Cruisers Cruise Nites on High Street ,and numerous local festivals and events.

Until the end of June, Rachel Stewart, a SDSS student, will be using her social media skills to keep the community updated on the ARTBike 's schedule and activities.

The ARTBike is supported by a grant from the United Way of Grey Bruce. A Canada Summer Jobs grant will allow us to continue our ARTBike outreach programs by funding the Jockey position through the summer months. Special thanks to The Marine Heritage Society, for providing secure storage of the ARTBike.
