Bonnie Hastings
Watercolour
Bonnie Hastings is a watercolour artist who delights in bringing the joy and beauty of nature
into the homes of her patrons. Shoreline living and a lifetime enjoying the diverse beauty of flora and
fauna inspire her work. Her “up close and personal” approach to composition
magnifies the beauty of her floral subject matter and she loves to depict the many moods of
Lake Huron. Currently she is enjoying the challenge of acrylic painting.
A native of Owen Sound, Bonnie attended Stratford Teacher’s College and worked in Ontario
and Quebec as a teacher, mother and medical assistant. She now enjoys retirement in
Southampton, Ontario.
Bonnie now frequently takes part in square foot shows and other displays across
Ontario, online shows and in local exhibitions. She is a member of the Shoreline Artists
Association and her work is currently available at Southampton Arts. At this time her paintings are in the
Westland Gallery in London and The Wild Goose Studio in Blyth.
She was in the Owen Sound Banner Project for three years. The Walkerton Library show
awarded her prizes for two consecutive years and she has received a number of awards from
GalleryRing.com and Lightspacetime.art.
