Diane Chambers

I am a wife, grandmother and was an OR nurse until 1996. On developing severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, I had to give up my beloved profession. We had to move from the Sudbury area to Manitoulin Island to be in a healthier environment. This is where I joined a guilting guild. It wasn’t long before I realized bed size quilts weren’t my interest.

I started making and designing wall hangings, small quilted items (chenille mats and rugs) and constructing my fabric appliqued cards with embellishments. I had joined churches, guilds, curling clubs etc. and had to sadly quit due to no fragrance-free policy. This is where "designs by diane” became so important to me. It gave me a purpose in life and a sense of satisfaction.
