Ming Wu
Jewelry
My jewelry consists mostly of precious metal and colour gemstones. The intent to bring out the best of the material I work with a minimalist approach.
While working as a Computer Engineer, I took night courses from the Ontario College Art to learn about the basics theory of designs. Although most of my jewelry making skills are self-taught, the foundations of design guided me along the way.
Colour is always the driving force of my work. Starting with a hand beaded bracelet while on vacation at Whistler, my skill set has expanded to hot and cold connections, resin work, and stone setting techniques. The learning never stops and I'll continue to acquire new skills to enhance my work.
