Join us for an inspiring painting workshop of calla lilies Through the Eyes of Georgia O'Keeffe! Dive into the vibrant world of O'Keeffe's artistry as we explore her unique perspective on nature. You'll learn techniques to capture the elegance of calla lilies, embracing bold colours and expressive forms.

  • Cancellations and Refunds

    • A cancellation fee (15% of the course fee) will be deducted for any class canceled by the student more than 14 days before the class starting date.
    • NO REFUND is given on classes the student cancels less than 14 days before the class begins.
    • If a course is canceled by us, registrants will be given two week’s notice.
    • Full refunds will be paid if the course is canceled by the school for any reason.
    • There will be no discounts, refunds, credits or transfers for classes not attended.

  • ImportantInformation about our Classes:

    • Full payment must be made at the time of registration. We cannot hold registrations without payment.
    • Southampton Arts is not liable for any injury or loss/damage to possessions.
    • Southampton Arts reserves the right to change a workshop’s location or replace an instructor with the same qualifications, for a class to run.
    • Smoking is NOT allowed inside or within 3 meters (10 feet) of the buildings.
    • Material Fees are not included in the course cost and are payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Material fees are listed with the class descriptions, and cover supplies provided for you by the
    instructor.
    • Material List means that you are required to bring your own supplies, based on the list provided.
    • The class location will be listed in the description. We hold a variety of classes at different locations throughout Saugeen Shores. Please read the class description carefully.

    These are the colors I’ll be using, alternate is listed below:

    Quinacridone Gold (Warm) Winsor Lemon (Cool)

    Perylene Maroon (Warm)

    Ndanthrene Blue (Cool)

    Please note:

    Perm Alizarin Crimson could replace Perylene Maroon

    Winsor Blue GS could replace Indanthrene Blue AND your yellow can be Winsor Lemon

    Brushes:

    Neptune by Princeton – size 4 (perfect for painting and also for wetting the paper)

    Any watercolor brushes by Princeton are good

    #10 Round

    #4 or 6 Round

    Cheap round brush size 4-6 for masking

    Toothbrush for scrubbing

    Paper:

    Paint any size on either 140# or 300#

    At least ½ sheet – this is 15” x 22.5”

    Support for your painting

    Foam Board is the most economical You can waterproof this by covering with Contact Paper (not a requirement)

    Other Supplies:

    Masking Fluid (I use Pebeo Drawing Gum) Masking is used to save your whites

    MASKING is completed in the workshop

    Water Container

    Paper towels

    Hair Dryer
