Join us for this transformative two-day workshop, where you'll dive into the world of collage and image transfers! You will learn how to combine imagery, texture, and colour to create powerful mixed-media pieces that reflect your personal narrative.

  • Cancellations and Refunds

    • A cancellation fee (15% of the course fee) will be deducted for any class canceled by the student more than 14 days before the class starting date.
    • NO REFUND is given on classes the student cancels less than 14 days before the class begins.
    • If a course is canceled by us, registrants will be given two week’s notice.
    • Full refunds will be paid if the course is canceled by the school for any reason.
    • There will be no discounts, refunds, credits or transfers for classes not attended.

  • ImportantInformation about our Classes:

    • Full payment must be made at the time of registration. We cannot hold registrations without payment.
    • Southampton Arts is not liable for any injury or loss/damage to possessions.
    • Southampton Arts reserves the right to change a workshop’s location or replace an instructor with the same qualifications, for a class to run.
    • Smoking is NOT allowed inside or within 3 meters (10 feet) of the buildings.
    • Material Fees are not included in the course cost and are payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Material fees are listed with the class descriptions, and cover supplies provided for you by the
    instructor.
    • Material List means that you are required to bring your own supplies, based on the list provided.
    • The class location will be listed in the description. We hold a variety of classes at different locations throughout Saugeen Shores. Please read the class description carefully.

  • Material List

    There is a fee on top of the material list - see below

    • Surface, minimum size 12” sq or 16” x 20” or larger.

    • A cradled panel is best for Mixed Media

    • Colors: White (gesso) black gesso or paint, Titan Buff, or other colors you would like to use. Keep it to about 3 or 4 other colors

    • Bring your own fav tools for mark making – wax pastels, colored pencils, etc.

    • You will need your own palette knives and brushes

    • You will need a Princeton Creative Catalyst wedge to apply paint or a silicone bowl scraper or credit card, brayer

    • You will need a laser (toner) print for your image transfer

    • You will need papers for collage – bring your favorites

    • SURFACE FOR IMAGE TRANSFERS: have a board for surface prep. Could be cardboard

    • COLLAGE PAPERS:

    • You will want TISSUE PAPER

    • To add Texture – Light Molding Paste and stencils

    • To add paint – a small spray bottle, paint and a brush

    • Rubbing Alcohol in a spray bottle for texture

    • Your own Stencils to use to make great collage paper

    • You will want Newsprint – a pad

    • We will paint on newsprint for collage

    • Scissors as we cut shapes out of our painted paper

    • Palette knife to scrape through painted paper

    IMAGE TRANSFERS:

    If you want to add image transfers, have a laser print – Staples has copiers that work for Image Transfers. We will use a Gloss or Matt medium for your image transfers

    There is a fee for the use of products: $10 for the use of:

    Products: Gloss Medium, Matt Medium, Golden Soft Gel, Golden Crackle Paste,

    Molding Paste, Medical Gauze for collage, Newsprint, Tissue Paper

    If you bring your own supplies, no fee.
