Job description

Art Bike Jockey

Southampton Arts has a promotional ARTbike that requires a brand ambassador to jockey around town to various events and festivals throughout Saugeen Shores.

​

Important Information:

· This position is part of the Government of Ontario's summer Employment Opportunities Program through the Government of Ontario

· All students must have reached the age of 15 and not yet reached the age of 30 upon commencement of employment.

· Students must be residents of Ontario during the period of employment.

· Students must be eligible to work in Canada and have a Social Insurance Number (SIN).

​

Responsibilites include:

· Provide exceptional customer service and represent our organization as a brand ambassador at various local festivals and events.

· Develop and deliver engaging, portable art programming for children and interested adults at local events and festivals.

· Host impromptu drop-in craft sessions outside the gallery during the busy tourist season.

· Create, promote, and adhere to a schedule of program times and locations.

· Maintain an inventory of craft supplies, replenishing stock as needed.

· Source sustainable materials for environmentally friendly crafts.

· Collaborate with other summer students to plan and execute special events.

· Notify the manager of any shortages in office or maintenance supplies.

· Maintain and ensure the security of the trike used for delivering portable programming.

Reliable, punctual, great time management skills, organized, personable, good communication (both written and verbal), creative and works well with children.

​

Job Types:

Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 2 months

​

Schedule:

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Saturday

  • Weekends as needed

 

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Southampton, ON N0H 2L0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
