2026 SDSS   "A Year of Creativity"

Student Catalogue Cover Art Exhibit

Each year, art students from Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS)

are invited to submit original artwork for the cover of our Catalogue of Classes.

This year, we received 15 unique and inspiring pieces, each depicting our historic Art School.

​

The students cover that is selected from the People’s Choice online poll

will receive a $100 gift card from Upwards Art Studio in Owen Sound and have their 

artwork on the cover of our 2026 Catalogue of Classes.​

 

In another collaborative project, some students submitted line drawings

of their artwork before completing their project. One of these submissions

will be featured as the artwork for our 2026 Children’s Colouring Contest, the winning submission will receive a $50 gift card from  Upwards Art Studio in Owen Sound.

A heartfelt thank you to Adrian Kahgee, Art Teacher at SDSS,

for her creative guidance and valued partnership, and to all the students who submitted artwork—your talent truly highlights the creativity of our local high school artists.

​

All submitted artwork will be on display at the Southampton Arts Centre

from April 1 to April 25 in the Promenade Gallery.

A People’s Choice poll will run throughout the exhibition.

 

A set of art cards, featuring all 15 pieces, will be printed and available for purchase at Southampton Arts. Funds raised help sustain classes, exhibitions, and accessible arts programming for all ages.
