Feast for the Eyes: Youth Emerging Artists Exhibition April 19th - May 17th, 2025 We’re thrilled to announce the return of Feast for the Eyes, a juried art exhibition, this year, exclusively for youth artists, ages 16–25. This month-long event is a celebration of creativity and talent, offering emerging artists in Grey Bruce the chance to showcase their work in a supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you’re just starting your artistic journey or looking to gain valuable experience applying for exhibitions, this is the perfect opportunity to shine. With monetary awards available to win and the possible sale of your artwork, we encourage all eligible youth artists to apply! Eligibility and Guidelines Open to youth artists (ages 16–25), you will be asked for an ID for proof of age. Artists must reside full or part-time in Bruce or Grey County. This exhibition is not open to jurors, SAC Board members, Southampton Art Gallery members, or current and former instructors of the Southampton Art School. All fine art mediums are welcome. Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in disqualification. Submission Requirements Submissions must be “hang-ready,” stable, and dry, with a maximum size of 40” x 40”. (Examples of acceptable hanging systems below.) Up to three works may be submitted; entry fee is a donation of 2 non-perishable items for the Port Elgin Salvation Army Food Bank. This can be dropped off at the gallery during open hours. The person dropping off the donations must indicate which application it is for. All works must be for sale, with the Gallery receiving a 25% commission on sold pieces. If you are having trouble deciding the price, please reach out ti gallery@southamptonartscentre.com for assistance. Each piece of art must be labeled with Title, Price, Medium, and Artist Name. Once this google form is completed, you will be sent a follow up email regarding the details of your artwork drop off. Note: Due to space limitations, not all submitted works may be accepted. Important Dates Submission Deadline: March 21st, 2025 4 p.m. Note: Artwork delivery for jurying is by appointment from February 13th to March 27th, 2025. After March 7th, submissions can also be dropped off during regular Gallery hours. Notification of Jury Decision: Monday, April 1st. Pick-up of Declined Artwork: Scheduled between Wednesday, April 4th - April 12th. Exhibition Dates: April 19th - May 17th, 2025. Awards Presentation & Opening Gala: Thursday, April 19th, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Pick-up of Artwork (Post-Exhibition): Scheduled between May 23rd–25th, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Additional Information The Gallery takes the utmost care of submissions, but artwork left beyond June 1st, 2025, may be disposed of or used for charitable purposes.
