Lise Pomeroy

Jewelry

I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, where I attended Dawson College to study Illustration and Design. This lead to working as a technical illustrator in the corporate world, which detoured to a career in project management for nearly 30 years. For the past 17 years I have been living on the shores of Lake Huron in Kincardine and during this time I have had the opportunity to rediscover my creative side. After exploring different media for creating jewelry, I realized that metalwork was my true passion. It wasn’t long before I was totally enchanted with designing and creating silver jewelry. I am so fortunate to now have my own well-equipped silversmithing workshop. For me, working and creating in metal isn’t just a hobby - it is a commitment in time, training, tools, equipment, and material. I have learned so much and continue to learn through workshops, tutorials and courses; and yet everyday I still feel excited to have the opportunity to work in my own little studio. About 8 years ago I was able to dedicate myself full time to silversmithing. I have had my work in shops and I try to do a few shows each year. I also sell my work online through my website, social media, and Etsy.
