This two-day workshop invites participants into the tactile and expressive process of wet felting, transforming soft wool and silk fibres into sculptural baskets, vessels, or vases for everyday use. Guided by fibre artist Susan Seitz, you’ll learn foundational techniques while exploring colour, texture and form in an intuitive and supportive environment.
On the second day, your piece will be refined and personalized through needle felting, stitching, and optional embellishments.
Participants are encouraged to bring meaningful textiles—such as vintage lace or special fabrics—to incorporate into their design. Create a one-of-a-kind basket, vessel, or vase that balances beauty, function and personal expression. Suitable for all levels. No prior experience required.
Cancellations and Refunds
• A cancellation fee (15% of the course fee) will be deducted for any class canceled by the student more than 14 days before the class starting date.
• NO REFUND is given on classes the student cancels less than 14 days before the class begins.
• If a course is canceled by us, registrants will be given two week’s notice.
• Full refunds will be paid if the course is canceled by the school for any reason.
• There will be no discounts, refunds, credits or transfers for classes not attended.ImportantInformation about our Classes:
• Full payment must be made at the time of registration. We cannot hold registrations without payment.
• Southampton Arts is not liable for any injury or loss/damage to possessions.
• Southampton Arts reserves the right to change a workshop’s location or replace an instructor with the same qualifications, for a class to run.
• Smoking is NOT allowed inside or within 3 meters (10 feet) of the buildings.
• Material Fees are not included in the course cost and are payable to the instructor on the first day of class. Material fees are listed with the class descriptions, and cover supplies provided for you by the
instructor.
• Material List means that you are required to bring your own supplies, based on the list provided.
• The class location will be listed in the description. We hold a variety of classes at different locations throughout Saugeen Shores. Please read the class description carefully.
